Description
South Side Arts is an at risk youth after school program for Mitchell Guidance Center students developed and coordinated by Rodney Plunkett and Becca Garcia. For more information call Rodney Plunkett at (361)212-1957. Mitchell Guidance Center is the venue for the South Side Arts' Art Exhibit, Mixed Up. The exhibiting artists from the South Side Arts program volunteer to both instruct and display their art. Selected works from Mixed Up are then displayed throughout the community. The first exhibit was in February 2009 and was displayed at all First Victoria National Bank locations and the Victoria Regional Airport. Mixed Up was an eclectic exhibit of three independent artists of diverse intriguing works unique to Victoria. Photographer, Shree Joglekar, and artists, Christina McCrea and Trent Rickman, are the artists displaying works and will be present at the exhibit. Mixed Up is a moving and worthwhile experience for both the novice and sophisticated enjoying art. Principal Trey Edwards welcomes the contributing artist and the Mixed Up exhibit to Mitchell campus.
