February... Empty Bowls usually takes place the second week of February and is held at Victoria College Student Center on a Sunday, between 11am to 2pm. Guests donate $15, select a beautiful ceramic bowl, fill it with soup, and kept the bowl as a reminder of world hunger. Visitors admire over 500 bowels which are handcrafted by local potters and students. Everyone enjoys wonderful music, delicious soups and breads donated by area restaurants, and good company of fellow Victorians. Proceeds benefit Christ?s Kitchen, Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, Victoria Christian Assistance Ministry (VCAM), Victoria County Senior Citizens Center, and Victoria College Empty Bowels Visual Arts Scholarship.
